Starting Pilates shouldn’t feel intimidating

Whether you’re completely new to Pilates or simply looking for a more thoughtful, small-group approach, you’re in the right place.
Small classes. Real guidance.
Movement that is challenging and achievable.

It’s OK if you don’t feel ready.

Most people don’t walk into their first Pilates class feeling confident.

People wonder:

“Will I know what I’m doing?”

“Will I be able to keep up?”

“What if everyone else is better than me?”

And some people have tried Pilates before and walked away feeling lost in the crowd or unsure if they were doing it “right.”

That is why Pilates Unleashed exists.

You don’t need to arrive fit.

You don’t need to know anything beforehand.

You don’t even need matching activewear or the “Pilates look.”

You just need to be willing to start.

Why people start here and stay.

✔ Small classes, real attention.

With up to 6 people per class, you’re never just another member in the room.

You’ll get guidance, adjustments, and support throughout every session.

✔ We teach movement properly at your pace.

We don’t rush through exercises.

We take the time to help you understand how movement works and how the positioning of your body can completely change how something feels.

Because learning the why matters.

✔ Challenging and achievable.

You’ll hear this a lot in class:

“Is it challenging? But is it achievable?”

Because movement should build confidence, not leave you feeling defeated.

✔ For all levels of experience.

Some people are brand new.

Others come here after years of Pilates and simply want more guidance, better technique, and a calmer environment.

We meet you where you’re at and help you progress from there.

✔ You won’t get lost here.

You’re not expected to figure things out by watching the person next to you.

You’re guided through every class, every step of the way.

Absolutely.

Some people are stepping into Pilates for the very first time. Others are returning after years away.

We’ll guide you through everything.

You don’t need to.

We offer options and adjustments throughout our classes so movement feels challenging and still achievable.

Yes.

Small classes allow us to refine your technique, build your strength, and progress your movement based on your experience and goals.

No previous experience is required – just bring an open mind and a sense of adventure!

The short answer is Yes. With up to 6 people per class, you’re never just another person in the room. You’ll get guidance, modifications, and support throughout every session. For minor injuries, speak to your instructor before class so they are aware of your injuries and can make suitable modifications for you. However, more complex injuries should be treated by your healthcare professional. It’s important to consult with your Doctor or Physiotherapist prior to starting any new exercise program after injury.

That’s part of learning.

No one walks in knowing everything and helping people figure things out is literally what we’re here for.

Anything comfortable that you can move in.

Grip socks are helpful for reformer classes, but don’t stress if you don’t have them for your first visit.

Mostly, we want you to bring your willingness to try new things. After that, bring a water bottle, grip socks if you have them and a sweat towel if you need one.

While there is no parking directly outside the studio, there is plenty of street parking within easy walking distance. The best places to park are along the Bridge Street 2hr parking spots closer to the train station, or in the 3hr Connelly Street Community Car Park.

Both are an easy walk to the studio.

You don’t need to be ready.

You just need to start.

We’ll take care of the rest.
